Q:

What's Compatibility View?

A:

Compatibility View is a compatibility mode of the web browser Internet Explorer version 8 and later.

When compatibility view is active it forces Internet Explorer to display the page in 'Quirks mode' which makes the page appear like it's being viewed in Internet Explorer 7. This may mean that some web pages or online systems won't work as they don't support the older browser version.

If you're using an up-to-date version of Internet Explorer but are unable to access Bankline, this may be caused by compatibility view.

If you need to turn off compatibility view, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the 'Tools' icon (cog in the top right of the page).
  2. From the menu select 'Compatibility View settings'.
  3. In the pop up box de-select 'Display all websites in Compatibility View', and close the window.
  4. Close and reopen your browser window and the changes will take effect.
