How can I check which version of my web browser I'm using?

To check the version of the web browser you're using follow the steps below.

If your browser isn't listed below, see their support pages for guidance.

Internet Explorer

  1. Once you've opened your browser window, select 'Help', the 'Tools' icon (looks like a cog) or press Alt + H.
  2. From the drop down menu select 'About Internet Explorer'.
  3. You'll then see a pop-up box showing the version of Internet Explorer you're using.

Google Chrome

  1. Once you've opened your browser window, select the icon with the three bars on the far right to open the menu.
  2. From the drop down menu select 'Help' and then 'About Google Chrome'.
  3. This will show the version of Google Chrome you're using.
