Q:

How do I check my TLS settings in Microsoft Edge?

A:

Edge has TLS 1.2 set as a default. But if you’d like to check your TLS settings in Edge, here are the steps:

  1. Open Edge, and in the Windows menu search box, type Internet options
  2. Under ‘Best match’, click Internet Options.
  3. In the pop-up box select the ‘Advanced’ tab.
  4. In the ‘Advanced’ list scroll down to the ‘Security’ section.
  5. Here you’ll find the ‘Use TLS 1.2’ box. Make sure this box is ticked.
  6. Click ‘Apply’ then hit ‘OK’ to save the changes. (If the box was already ticked just click ‘OK’.)

If the tick options are greyed out, you may need administration rights on your device or network to apply changes to advanced settings.
