How do I switch dual control for bulk lists on or off?

A:

‘Dual control’ requires bulk lists created or edited by one user to be double checked by another. It needs at least two users, each with administrative privileges, a Smartcard and a card reader.

Organisations that joined Bankline from 5 March 2018 and have more than one Bankline user will find that dual control is automatically switched on.

As an extra line of security for your business, it’s a good idea to leave it in place, but you can turn it off if you want to, or switch it back on at any time.

  1. Select 'Administration' from the left hand menu, then 'Customer details'.
  2. Select 'Payment preferences'
  3. Under the subheading 'Bank set payments' you'll see ‘Bulk lists dual controlled'.
  4. Select 'Yes' or ‘No’ to turn dual authorisation on or off.
  5. Once you’ve done that, select 'Confirm', check your changes then 'Confirm' again.
  6. You'll need to finalise the change by authorising it with your Smartcard and reader.

The change will then apply to all newly created or edited bulk lists. Remember that switching dual control off will require authorisation by another user.
