Q:

What are the cut-off times for Inter account transfers?

A:

You can make Sterling Inter account transfers (IATs) up until 23:45, for the transfer to be made you must have sufficient funds available in your account and the transfer authorised by this time.

Transfers made after 18:15 will continue to update on your balances as soon as they’re processed, but will show on your statement with a posting date of the next working day. As a result they won’t be included in the end of day position for the calculation of charges and interest.

For a transfer to be recorded on your statement as the same working day, it needs to be fully authorised before 18:15 so that it can be included in the end of day processing.

For currency transfers the cut off time is 16:30.
