Q:

What are the ‘End of day balance (MT940)’ settings in the Bank Liquidity Agreement screen?

A:

The end of day balance is key to the day-to-day operation of Global Liquidity. There are two governing factors:

Send frequency - how often the partner bank can send out end of day balance statements. You can't have daily statements if the setting is ‘weekly'.

Available balance reported - whether or not the partner bank reports available balance (SWIFT field 64) as well as booked balance.

  • If ‘Yes,' Global Liquidity will use the available balance to calculate the day's cleared balance, and will take into account any credit limit in the Account Service Agreement.
  • If ‘No', Global Liquidity will use the booked balance together with reported transactions to calculate the day's cleared balance.
